How To Get More Traffic To Your Website For Free

Now, the tips I gave you yesterday were all based around adjusting your site.

Today we’re going out and about…

"Start your own online business without spending a single penny!"

In a series of free step-by-step videos, business opportunities expert Glenn Fisher shows you how to build an online business from scratch at no cost.

I respect your privacy and will never pass on your email address to anyone else.

We’re going to look at two things you can do out in the big wide web to get links back to your website.

OK. First up is a good one…

Not only does this help increase the traffic to your website, it gives your page some extra kudos with Google and it makes the most of your content.

I’m talking here about submitting articles to dedicated article directories.

It’s pretty straight forward how this works…

People see your article on the directory. They read it. Enjoy it. And (hopefully) want to read more from you.

So, you put links throughout your article that lead back to your website.

The person clicks on the link and bingo: you’ve increased your traffic.

Plus, by having the high ranking article directory website linking back to your website, it gives your site more authority with search engines. Always a good thing.

There are actually an absolute ton of article directories out there. But there’s no point in going crazy and wasting too much time on them all.

Better to focus on the highest ranking ones.

And those are:

www.ezinearticles.com

www.buzzle.com

www.goarticles.com

www.helium.com

Take a look at the sites over the weekend and see if you can submit an article or two.

Once you’ve done that, we can head to the forums…

Become a part of the internet community

Though this will take a bit more of your time, it’s worth doing for a number of reasons.

Fact is: there’s an internet forum for everything under the sun.

And that’s great news for you, because whatever your niche maybe, there’s bound to be a forum somewhere of people discussing topics relevant to your niche.

And chances are there’ll be people there who will be interested in your website.

So, it makes sense to try and connect with these people.

But – and this is a big but, a big ‘never do this’ but…

Don’t just storm into an internet forum and start throwing your links around.

Don’t. Not ever.

Soon enough you’ll be thrown out the forum. Though, even if you’re not, people aren’t going to click on your link if they think you’re just trying to spam them.

A forum is a community.

And you have to become a part of that community if you want people to take the time to check out your website.

Might sound like hard work – actually discussing things and being a contributing part of the forum – but it has two major benefits…

Eventually, when people see you’re a serious part of the forum they’ll be happy to check out your site. Bingo: more traffic.

But not only that…

Remember, the forum is all about your niche. It’s filled with people who have ideas and opinions about your niche.

You’re looking at a concentrated cross section of your actual audience all in one place.

You’ll get to see what people’s concerns are, what their needs are, what problems they have that relate to your niche.

A lot of other businesses would pay a lot for information on customer surveys and whatnot for that kind of customer feedback.

In a forum, you get it for free.

Finding a forum for your niche is pretty simple – it just takes a quick Google search for ‘your niche’ followed by ‘forum’.

Simple.

Now, both these ideas – submitting to article directories and getting involved in forums – are longer term traffic generators.

But I assure you that over time they will help your business grow by bringing more customers to it.

So, spare yourself an hour or so this weekend and see what you can put into action.

OK. That’s all from me for now. Enjoy the rest of your Friday and I’ll see you tomorrow.
