So, there I am watching a presentation from Brian Edmondson…

Top bloke and a real expert when it comes to internet marketing.

"Start your own online business without spending a single penny!"

In a series of free step-by-step videos, business opportunities expert Glenn Fisher shows you how to build an online business from scratch at no cost.

I respect your privacy and will never pass on your email address to anyone else.

As the director of Early to Rise’s Internet Money Club here in the US, he helps hundreds of people to begin and grow their own online businesses.

And that’s what Brian’s presentation was all about: growing an online business by building a list of potential customers.

Now, building lists is a subject we’ve often covered in the Bulletin.

Why?

Because of this simple fact:

Building a list of potential customers is the most fundamental element of ANY online business.

Without customers you can’t sell your product or service, you don’t make money and guess what…

Your business fails.

Not good, right?

Bit depressing.

But, on the upside, there are an absolute ton of ways you can build your list…

From starting small and emailing your friends, family and workmates to setting up squeeze pages and joint ventures.

Today, Brian covered his own top ten favourite ways to build a list – proven methods that he has personally used to grow his own list and de facto grow his own wealth.

Right now, I want to share with you one of those techniques – one that we haven’t covered before, but one that Brian finds to be an incredibly effective way of attracting new customers.

Oh, and best of all: it’s free.

A simple and free way to generate new customers

Imagine you’ve set up a small email list…

At the moment you’ve got, say, 58 people on that list.

That might sound like nothing. But you know what: even if you’ve got 3 people on your list – it’s a start and you’re already way ahead of 99% of people out there.

Anyway, you’re emailing those people on a weekly basis with an article about your particular niche. You’re creating a relationship.

And that’s all good.

But what’s happening with those articles after you’ve sent them?

Once you’ve emailed those 58 people your article is done with, right?

Massively wrong.

As Brian explained, you can use those same articles to generate new customers… you can use them to grow your list.

You see, there are a ton of special websites out there that act as article directories.

People post their articles and other people browse the directory and read them.

Seems simple.

And get this: because these directory websites are so content-heavy and are so full of key words and phrases… they already rank brilliantly on search engines like Google.

So, when people are looking for help or advice that is related to your niche, they’ll search with a particular key word or phrase and often they’ll find an article on one of these directory sites.

Hmmm.

Be quite useful if when they searched they found your article, right?

You’ve got it…

You can re-use the articles you’re writing, sending out and forgetting about. You can post them on a directory site and let people find them.

But hold on, we’re not quite done.

Everything’s working out well – Steve searched for an article on how to fix cars, he found an article you’d written on the subject and he read it and he enjoyed it.

Hurrah!

But leave it at that and you’ve missed your chance to build your list.

Easily solved.

In your article, you simply provide a link back to your website, to your email, to your squeeze page.

Steve enjoyed your article, so he clicks on that link, sees he can hear more on the subject from you and he signs up.

Your list just grew to 59.

What we’ve got here is a cheap – in most cases free – way to grow your list of potential customers. It hardly takes any time at all and essentially there’s no extra work…

Remember, you’ve already created the content – you’re just re-using it, increasing the lifespan of its value to you.

OK. Where do you post these articles?

A quick Google search for ‘article directories’ will return a load, but here are a couple you can check out right now…

www.ezinearticles.com and www.articlezap.com

Check them out today and see how you get on.

Ah. But one final thought on this…

"Start your own online business without spending a single penny!"

In a series of free step-by-step videos, business opportunities expert Glenn Fisher shows you how to build an online business from scratch at no cost.

I respect your privacy and will never pass on your email address to anyone else.

If you’re thinking: ‘Glenn, there are hundreds, thousands, even millions of people sharing articles, surely I’ll only get a few names at most.’

Stop right there. Don’t dwell on any negative thoughts. Just put them out. Seriously.

First, if you don’t give it a go, you’ll never know. You might end up getting more names than you ever imagined.

Second – and this is key – even if you only get five people a week… that’s five more people on your list.

That’s five more people who might purchase something from you.

That’s five more people who might help you increase your income.

No rational person should ever turn down the chance to get even one more extra customer.

OK. I need to get some sleep. Another huge day tomorrow. Hope you’re well and all’s good in the UK.
